Confederate Mounted Artillery Stirrups These are cast from ”Red brass” and each one was made in 2 pieces and brazed together. The workmanship is crude. They are made very much in the same pattern as U.S. Artillery stirrups of the C.W. but are unmarked. Extremely rare! One picture shows them with one standing up and one lying down so you can see the shape and design of the footrest. The only pair I’ve owned.
